Why can’t I register for this CUNY class?

I need to take cor100, along with every other student in my college, yet I can’t register for it. It says this when I type in any class code in the esims registration page: “This course is not open to your program code. You may choose another course. ” What’s going one? I need that class to graduate and it is also a prerequisite for a class required for my major. Thanks for your help.
Why don’t you just call CUNY, who will be more in-tuned with what’s going on with their system, and ask?
