Which is the best method to prepare for the EMT national registration test?

I passed my EMT class on June, but some personal issues popped up and i had to concentrate on other things, its September now and i still kinda know the things i used to know. But I’m not sharp anymore, i need someone to tell me the best way to prepare without taking the class again
I took the NREMT in April of this year. It’s really hard to say how to prepare for it. Every test is different. I’ve spoken to 4 of my former EMT classmates and none of us got the exact questions in the NREMT test. One of my former classmates got a lot of obstetrical/birth questions. When I took it, I got a lot of airway stuff. The test is going throw in some scenario-based questions at you, for sure.
Some questions are not even EMS-related! There will be some questions that will test common sense. Remember this: When stuck on a question, remember your ABCs, and in that order. Know the normal ranges for heart, blood pressures, and breathing rates for adults/children/infants. Know your oxygen flow rates. As I said earlier, I can’t really tell you what to study because every test is different. There is a book on Amazon.com that I did use to study from. It’s a flash card based book. Search it on Amazon by the title: EMT-Basic – Interactive Flashcards Book for EMT. Be aware that some questions on there might be outdated because it was published back in 2005, but almost everything on there is current to this day. If there is a question on there that conflicts with what you’ve been taught, double check with your EMT class book. It’s a great book to study from. It’s only about $9.00 and you’ll likely find it at your local book store.
