What do I do? The class I need that’s only offered once a year is not available?

I’m supposed to be registering for a fundamentals of organic chemistry class, but, as a transfer student, I’m not able to register until May 18th at New Student Orientation. However, the current University students have already done their registration and now there’s no seats available. What do I do? I wasn’t even given a chance to register for this class.
sadly enough, you may have to wait until next year
I have crashed many courses. Just go sit in the class when it starts and try to get in. Even if you dont get in on the first day be persistent. I once was trying to get into my last anatomy class in pre-med where there were only 24 seats available. They all were taken and there were 30 more people trying to get in. The teacher did a lottery drawing and let 5 extra students in. I of course wasnt chosen so I proceeded to still show up in class everyday and set on the back counter. After the fourth class the teacher let me add the class. He told me he admired my persistence. You might even email the instructor and ask he/she if its ok to set in the class incase someone drops. Often times they allow this. Its worth a shot if it is important enough to get in.
More than likely, you’ll have to wait. But my school and some others do offer overrides for classes. But they usually don’t do that unless the person who needs the class REALLY needs that class. maybe you can ask the head to that department for that class about it. maybe they can get you in. good luck though.
Many universities set aside space for transfer students. Do not worry just ask your ad-visor for an over ride. It is very likely they will accommodate you.
Is it crucial you take the class next semester? As in, if you don’t, it will delay the other courses you need?
If so, talk to the professor or the head of that dpt and see if they can override you for the course.
It will depend on your university’s policy. I suggest you talk to both the department chairperson and the professor teaching the class. Sometimes they are able to override and let a few extra people in a class. Be persistant and let them know that you are willing to do the work, not just fill a seat because it is a requirement.
you can talk with the registrar and explain your situation, but you may just have to wait a year.
you can speak with the professor of the class via email and ask if you can get into that class
you can talk with your academic advisor and ask for their advice
those are your options, i think
