A decision by Frederick County Public Schools has some parents unsure of where their pre-kindergarten-age children will attend school in the fall.

Legal advice for a traffic ticket! please help me! I know this is long, but I desperately need help!!?

In December of 2008 I received a ticket for running a stop sign near the University of Southern California, where I attend school. I stopped at the sign and was thus extremely confused as to why the cop wrote me a ticket. When I was driving away I realized what had happened- the car in the turning lane next to me, which stopped at the same time I did, pulled out in front of me instead of turning like he was supposed to- at the time I was just annoyed and honked, but then i realized it had made it seem like I ran the stop sign. Additionally, I don’t own a car and was actually just moving my friend’s car down the block, and didn’t have my license on me- the cop told me I could go to court instead of paying and show them my valid license and that charge would be dropped- so, I decided I wanted to contest the ticket in court as I had not actually run the stop-sign, and didn’t want the additional fine for not having my license. Unfortunately, I lost the ticket, and went home to florida for winter break a couple days later. My court date turned out to be while I was gone, and I eventually received a failure to appear/warrant for arrest, etc. I was able to reschedule another court date, which I attended yesterday. (arraignment hearing actually) Because I now had the failure to appear, I could not plead “not guilty” to running the stop sign- I had to plead one answer for the charge of failure to appear, running the stop-sign, and not having a valid license, so I had to please guilty. However I showed the judge my Florida license expecting to get that charge dropped, and he said because I listed a California address (my school address) I needed to have a valid CA license and my Florida was not acceptable (despite the fact that I do not own a car and do not have CA registration or anything like that) So, I received a 100$ fine for running the stop-sign, a 100$ fine for my license, and a 35$ fine for Failure to appear. I guess because the failure to appear is initially misdemeanor (which they drop to an infraction in court?) or whatever, they increase your fine by 236% when you get to the cashier (they explained it all before but i can’t remember exactly why they do this)- thus, i was ordered to pay 900 and something dollars. Being a college student I have nowhere near this kind of money and asked for comm service, but then found out I now have 117 hours to do in about 2 months. This is simply not a possibility for me- i am currently in summer school, have a part time job, and will begin my fall classes in a couple weeks. Does anyone know if there is ANYTHING I can possibly do at this point to either get the fine reduced to a reasonable amount that I could afford to pay, or an amount of hours that I might be able to do? Am I able to write an appeal, or is it too late? Any advice would help me, I am a communications and film major and am not familiar with the legal system at all! Anything would help! thank you!

What do I do? The class I need that’s only offered once a year is not available?

I’m supposed to be registering for a fundamentals of organic chemistry class, but, as a transfer student, I’m not able to register until May 18th at New Student Orientation. However, the current University students have already done their registration and now there’s no seats available. What do I do? I wasn’t even given a chance to register for this class.

i registered for a class 3 days ago and then i find out i wouldnt be able to take that class because i m not gna be here at that time so they told me to write a cancellation letter, i paid the fee and they said that they gna refund that, but my question is that in that cancellation letter do i need to write that can i get the refund back please or that’s little wierd i wrote that i want to cancel the registartaion i make but i was confused if i should write about refund is this appropriate ….please help

I have a project for my Database class and well I have no idea wat to do. this is what I’m given to do:
Noowoods University has decided to replace its aging mainframe-based student registration system with a more modern client/serve database system. school officials want to provide student with the capability to retrieve course availability information, register for courses, and print transcripts using personal computers located in the student computer lab. In addition, facu;ty members must be able to retrive students course lists, drop and add students, and record for the students they advice. Security is a prime concern, so students and course records must be protected by password accesss. Students will log onto Norwoods system using their student ID and PIN. they will be given the option of viewing current listing or viewing information on courses they have completed. They can check what courses are available during the current team term by viewing course information, such as course names, course ID, section numbers, days, time, location; and the availability of the open seats in the course. They can also view information about courses they have already taken in the past as well as grades and GPA’s. Faculty members will log onto system using Faculty ID. They can select from the list of courses they are teaching in the current term and retrive a list of students enrolled in the selected course. faculty members can also retrieve list of his or her advisees.

When you enroll for an online criminal justice program, a computer with the specified hardware and software as well as a reliable Internet connection is necessary. A high-speed cable Internet connection is the most preferred. It is up to you to ensure that your computer is up and functioning properly before you begin your course. Associated equipment such as a mouse and printer might also be required. The institutes usually have a computer orientation program to ensure that you are comfortable with using a computer for your education. But beyond this all the logistics need to be handled by you.

The institute will provide hardware and software requirements so you know what to buy and install. Also the technical support department of the University can address any problems or questions you might have about the process. This is usually a facility, which is available on all days and at all times. The institutes also usually send in the required study material such as syllabus, course manuals, CD-ROMs, traditional textbooks and research articles.

The type of materials provided will depend on your course and the institution. Normally all this is sent through mail and you should have it all before the course commences. Make sure that the program you enroll for offers at least the basic material you will require. Otherwise, it could prove to be a time and money consuming effort in the long run.

In the event you have not received any kind of study materials from the institute contact them to find out. Otherwise your classes may get delayed or you may find yourself out of depth on day one. You will need to get notebooks or worksheets and things such as pens, pencils, markers and highlighters for yourself. But these requirements should be lower than in a traditional classroom as you can take down notes on your computer and even assignments will be completed online on electronic boards.

Additional textbooks and research material is usually available at the online libraries that these institutions have. Registration will be required before you can access any of these resources. Another option is getting them from the local library. This way you can reduce additional costs.

this morning was the fresno state fall semester class registration, i stayed up very late planning my schedule outa the general catalog and the class schedule books. This morning i woke up at 7:00 to register at 9:00(I started exactly at 9). I was filling my coarse cart and as i kept going they were all being marked as full(when i added them they were open) so by about 9:15 all the classes i chose were not available anymore, so i had to find new ones. I didnt do so good on the placement tests so i had to take the english and math remedial classes so i can continue going to fresno state. i managed to get an english class but not a math class cuz they all filled up. Now is there anything i can do, because im afraid im not gonna be able to go this school, im going to go talk to a counselor and see if he can do anything. But what i was hoping to know if this is a major problem or if it can be fixed and how. If u know what happens in this situation please tell me. Ive been though alot trying to get enrolled with this school, almost getting fired cuz i was on the phone making an important calls to clears things up with admissions and financial aide an many occasions, then my h.s school lost or didnt send my transcript in, and having to drive an hour every other day because they wanted me to turn somthing that they didnt get or misplaced. Any information about this problem would mean very much to me. Thank You

I need to produce a class registration page/website for students to register for classes. With student, teacher, time, date, place and price of classes. Connected to Paypal or a merchant account. With a cap on classroom enrollment. Waiting list. And a printable spreadsheet. Has anyone ever seen or heard of a website template or flash componet or management software such as this?
