Shoul’d I put my 7 year old in a multi age class?

My daughter is 7 years old and loves school. She is in 1st grade and very talented. She speaks fluently English and German, reads at a 4th grade level and her spelling is perfekt.
At the registration for the next school year we where asked if she wants to go to a multi age class with 2nd, 3rd and 4th graders. Do you think it would be good for her ? Any one with experience with multi age classes ??
It sounds intriguing. What I was worried about was how old the oldest kids would be, but 4th graders – that’s not too old. I think it would be an interesting idea – might challenge your daughter academically, while still giving her the appropriate level of social interaction she needs (there are other 2nd graders in the class, and the other kids aren’t too old). I’d give it a try.
Wow she’s clever. Yes i think it would be a good idea. If it doesn’t work, you can always take her out and put her back in her normal class.
