So I registered for my classes online a month ago at college and everything is alright, but now they say there’s an open registration, would I have to attend?

Wow. If you have already registered for classes you will not need to attend open registration.

you shouldn’t have to attend however I would check with the school just to verify. it never hurts to check

    Short answer: No.

Long answer: “Open registration” is not an actual event that a person physically attends. It is a period of time when anyone can register for classes. Open registration usually comes after a college’s early registration period (when students (already enrolled) can register for classes.)

For example, students taking classes during the fall semester are permitted to register early for spring classes during early registration. At my school, the more credits you have, the earlier you can register. You are assigned a certain time to begin registering; you can’t get into the online registration system before your assigned time. This is so juniors and seniors have top priority, and can get into classes they may need to graduate. After early registration is over, open registration begins.
