DigitalSignature is a combination of Private Key & Public Key which is unique to every user. Digital Signature comes in two categories which are Class II Digital Signature & Class III Digital Signature. Class II digital signature is used in ROC, MCA 21.Under Class II DGFT comes which is used for Importers- Exporters to communicate DGFT department online. Class III is used for applying tenders online i.e. e-Tendering / e-Procurement.

Class II Digital Signature for ROC, MCA, Income Tax

MCA21 has been devised to bring about a transformation in the experience that you as authorized representatives of companies and certified professionals perceive, in dealing with Ministry of Company Affairs for the statutory compliance of the Indian Companies act 1956. MCA21 programme is starting with online application and registration process of all existing and prospective directors of companies.

Class 3 Digital Signatures

Class 3 Certificates are issued to individuals, organizations and devices and are applicable for personal and commercial use. They represent the highest degree of digital security available to individuals, devices, servers and organizations. Typically, they are used for Electronic Data Exchange (EDI), internet banking/broking, e-tendering and other web-based transactions where confidentiality and authenticity are critical.

Individual

Class 3 Individual Certificates issued to individuals or devices and encompass primarily high end security-sensitive online activities.

Organization

These are digital certificates that are appropriate for digital signatures, encryption, electronic access control, e-commerce and online financial transactions that require a strong assertion of the customer’s identity. The validation procedures for Class 3 Platinum Organization certificates includes confirmation that the subscriber organization does in fact exist, authorization from the organization for the certificate application and authorization for the person submitting the certificate application.

What is Safeexim or (n)Exim

Safeexim or (n)eXIM is a special kind of Digital Certificate exclusively for the EXIM community fo India. It is issued to organizations / people who have obtained a valid IEC. Its is mandatory to have Safeexim or (n)eXIM to be able to communicate with DGFT online. Safeexim or (n)eXIM gives you iffefutable identity, confidentiality of communication, ease of operations and faster process in obtaining licenses from DGFT.

Who can use Safe EXIM?

Safe EXIM can be used only by an Exporter or Importer registered with the DGFT in India. It is not open to any third party.

Any person from an  EXIM organisation who is authorized to transact with DGFT on behalf of the organization or sign any documents that need to be submitted to the DGFT can use Safe EXIM.
